New boutique firm Edesia Law announced its launch of operations today. Set up to defend claims against financial and legal professionals, Edesia Law will support a variety of clients across the UK including regulated financial advisers, lawyers, insurance brokers, insurers and managing general agencies, and construction professionals.
Principal & Founder Damian McPhun brings over 25 years’ litigation experience specialising in the defense of professional liability claims against financial services, legal and insurance professionals. This lengthy experience has informed Edesia’s innovative model, which differs from the usual experienced by professional services organisations.
McPhun said: “Too many law firms are restrictive in the way they do business and have become accustomed to benefitting from protracted processes that can be costly to the client. Edesia’s commitment to client satisfaction will manifest in a fresh approach to claims management, in which the firm will adopt an early intervention strategy for effective resolution. This will be complemented by an in-house claims handling team that will provide a ‘cradle to grave’ service.
